Post Resurrection Day

Celebrating the resurrection of Christ, if not seen for what it really is and what had to be done by Him to accomplish the task of eliminating the sting of death for us and defeating the Enemy, is easily just another occasion to get dressed up and go to church, thinking we are doing God some big favor by spending an hour or 2 in a building paying a quick tribute to the Savior of mankind. Today is the day after the celebration and observance, the day that the work really begins to give ourselves over to this Savior that has conquered death for us. Starting this day, after the Rising, what should we be doing? What should be on our minds as we consider the matter in full measure? Do we just hang the suit or special clothes we bought for the celebration back up in the closet, and go right back to living life according to what the world requires of us? Do we take the unnecessary decorations down and box them back up until next year, with post celebration complacency towards the most important thing our soul needs, which is Christ? Every day should be a celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord, and today is just as important as yesterday was, if not more important, with the real work of what His Resurrection requires of us, and should cause us to do in response to the most important thing there is in our Faith in God; the Path to Eternal Life! Luke 12:40 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 42 And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 48 For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him They will ask the more. ¿Our responsibility lies within the reactive response we have towards this enormous Gift of Salvation supplied to us by Christ, and we can only know how to respond correctly by studying His word and applying it as it is written, to our lives. The real work begins for believers today, and picking up His blood stained Cross is what we are called to do, denying ourselves and all of our earthly desires, with The Kingdom of Heaven in the forefront of our minds as we fully submit to God and do the work of The Kingdom we all want to end up in! Father, consecrate me to Yourself, and let the mind of Your Son be my mission, every single day. In Christ’s name, Amen
