The winding road
Feeling unnecessary at times and becoming stale is a fact of life built into the control center of consciousness that governs us. The paradox of the situation lies in the fact that stages of our lives can feel completely unnecessary while being most important, without the recognition being seen until much later after the stage has passed. It’s part of the insanity of our humanity, that can’t always see things for what they really are while they are happening. By default, I’d venture to say that all people want an easy life, where everything flows in a beautiful consistent pattern without any huge bumps in the road, smooth sailing through life with a balanced effect that settles the soul like a baby into a warm blanket with fresh tasty milk from mother. But, it’s a fantasy, and life is unpredictable, mysterious and ever changing, with a rollercoaster effect that presents g-forces causing feelings that range from euphoric to horrific, and all for a purpose that stretches far beyond the human mind’s ability to see all things perfectly for how God has created them to be. Jesus told us this… John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”, with Thomas, the doubter, saying this… 5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” ¿Do you ever ask yourself how your belief in Jesus would be if you physically watched Him perform all the miracles we read about, and watched Him raise Lazarus from the dead? As we speed down this winding road of humanity our focus has to be directly on Jesus, or we will crash and burn! Every curve and torn up part of the road, while being disruptive, have purposes that we should embrace more than hate, because it is in the hardships of life that our growth in Christ really flourishes. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” ¿Is your complete focus on the Savior? Or, are you texting and driving on the narrow Path? Lord, I can never wear out my petitions to You to open my eyes so I can perfectly see You, in everything. Purify my heart, Lord! In Christ’s name, Amen
