Mind of Christ
For everyone who is in search of knowing who God is, there are certain things particular to each one of us that drives our search. What is it we are really looking for when it comes to God? Alignment with God is never about lining God up with us and our desires, shifting and rearranging His directives to fit our narratives and individual needs. No, not at all! But, it does tend to be what we like to do. The human mind is designed to think in human terms, naturally, with God calling us to think and live the opposite of how He created our human minds to think. There’s never a day that we can say that we have arrived at the summit of following Christ, where there is no more for us to do but to sit down and peer out over all the mountains and valleys that surround us and say; “all is accomplished!”, as long as we are still in our human form. And if we do that, it becomes the moment that pride delivers us over to the things that destroy us from within, ruining all that we’ve done in the name of our God. Because it’s never about what we did yesterday for our Lord, but always about what we are doing for our Lord today! Jesus said this.. “Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”, and it begs the question; am I a servant to others, or mostly to myself?! Why did Jesus wash the feet of His disciples? What was the implication? Personally, I believe there’s more than just one implication, but the theme is all about serving, PERIOD! John 13:3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. ¿Have you completely resolved that you have come from God and are going back to God, so powerfully that all you want to do is wash others feet, in order for them to walk on His Holy Ground, which is the narrow Path? “Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” ¿Having the mind of Christ is not just about knowing about Him, but about doing what He did, and does for us daily. Father, give me the mind of Your Son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! In His name I pray, Amen
