My people
Coming to Christ is about a transformation that reforms the mind’s total understanding about existing, how to live as we exist, and what happens when we cease to exist, in this world. “What is the purpose of life”; is, and always has been, the chief question that plagues the human soul. Paying attention to this question determines the response that we’ll have in regard to our actions of finding the true answer to it. Ignoring the question exonerates a soul from the overwhelming emotional undertaking required “to” answer the question, beyond the obvious necessities that living here requires of us, like; education, hard work, being part of a family and then possibly creating one, and obtaining food, shelter, and other needs, to accomplish life’s demands, and stay alive, while mortgaging out the answer that will be paid for with our life, if we keep on ignoring it to the very end. But, elevating the mind above the temporary status of existence to consider the larger matters of where we came from and where we go afterwards, and why we are here, demand a deeper approach to details and mysteries that humanity would rather ignore. It’s like a child cleaning their room; if a parent does not make them clean up, they will never do it!, and this is how we treat the work of responding to our God, because God calls us but doesn’t force us! 2 Chronicles 7:14 says; “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land (or, their personal understanding of life).” ¿God says “My people”, referring to Israel, but ambiguously referring to all who respond to Him, and then, like joining a gang, it’s about being entirely devoted to Him, by learning His ways and copying them, and being obediently submissive. Verses like Luke 11:28 “blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”, and James 1:22 "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.", plus 2 Corinthians 10:5: "..bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.", and Deuteronomy 8:6: "Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.", are just a few that simply explain the first step of becoming one of His people. Are you truly one of His people? Are you washed in His Blood by the renewing of your mind? Have you released your will into His will? Or, are you stuck on living according to the dictates of your own corrupted heart and its human appetites? Father, I pray that I will make today a day of submissive obedience to You. You are the Author of Life and You own my soul, and I owe You EVERYTHING! In Christ’s name, Amen

Wonderful read. Said it before, the world demande attention 9 to 5 and beyond just to eat and slip into debt properly. It would be nice to not have so many soul draining distractions while being held to such high standards. Just saying.
